In their opening game, Paetz lost 7-0 to Jones, droppimg another game, 7-2 to Casey Scheidegger (Lethbridge, AB) where Paetz responded with a 7-4 win over Kelsey Rocque (Edmonton, AB). Paetz won 9-7 against Julie Tippin (Woodstock, ON) in their final qualifying round match.
