Brad Gushue (St. John's, NL) qualified for the 2017 Boost National playoffs, dropping their quarterfinals match 4-3 against Mike McEwen (Winnipeg, MB). of the 2017 Boost National in Sault Ste Marie, Ontario;
 
Gushue finished 3-1 in the 15-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Gushue defeated McEwen 7-6, then won 7-6 against Bruce Mouat (Edinburgh, SCO) and 7-6 against Greg Balsdon (Kingston, ON). Gushue went on to lose 5-2 against John Morris (Vernon, BC) in their final qualifying round match.
 
Gushue earned 32.161 world rankings points for their Top 5 finish in the Boost National. For week 15 of the event schedule, Gushue did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Gushue ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
