Bruce Mouat (Edinburgh, SCO) won 9-4 over Chang-Min Kim (Uiseong, KOR) in the Final of the Boost National, held November 14 - 19, 2017 in Sault Ste Marie, Ontario. To advance to the championship game, Mouat won 6-4 over Mike McEwen (Winnipeg, MB) in the semifinals of the 2017 Boost National in Sault Ste Marie, Ontario; and won 7-1 over Kevin Koe (Calgary, AB) in the quarterfinals. of the 2017 Boost National in Sault Ste Marie, Ontario;
 
Mouat finished 2-2 in the 15-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Mouat defeated Greg Balsdon (Kingston, ON) 8-4, then went on to lose 7-6 against Brad Gushue (St. John's, NL). Mouat responded with a 8-2 win over John Morris (Vernon, BC). Mouat went on to lose 7-2 against McEwen in their final qualifying round match.
 
For winning the Boost National Championship title, Mouat earned 75.041 world rankings points along with the $30,000CDN first prize cheque, moving up 6 spots the World Ranking Standings into 17th place overall with 310.789 total points. Mouat ranks 7th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 202.211 points earned so far this season.
