Kevin Koe (Calgary, AB) won 7-6 over Mike McEwen (Winnipeg, MB) in the Final Koe advanced directly to the championship game after finishing first in the preliminary round. of the Tim Hortons Roar of the Rings, held December 2 - 10, 2017 in Ottawa, Ontario.

Koe finished 7-1 in the 9-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Koe defeated Steve Laycock (Saskatoon, SK) 6-3, then won 8-6 against Brad Jacobs (Sault Ste Marie, ON) and 6-5 against Reid Carruthers (Winnipeg, MB). Koe won 7-6 against Brendan Bottcher (Edmonton, AB), then won 6-5 against McEwen and 6-4 against John Epping (Toronto, ON). Koe won 7-4 against John Morris (Vernon, BC). Koe went on to lose 6-3 against Brad Gushue (St. John's, NL) in their final qualifying round match.

For winning the Tim Hortons Roar of the Rings Championship title, Koe earned 89.009 world rankings points, moving up 2 spots the World Ranking Standings into 3rd place overall with 696.007 total points.
