To advance to the championship game, Homan won 6-3 over Jennifer Jones (Winnipeg, MB) in the semifinals of the 2017 Tim Hortons Roar of the Rings in Ottawa, Ontario;
Homan finished 7-1 in the 9-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Homan lost 8-4 to Carey, then responded with a 8-7 win over Julie Tippin (Woodstock, ON). Homan won 4-2 against Krista McCarville (Thunder Bay, NONT), then won 11-7 against Michelle Englot (Winnipeg, MB) and 5-3 against Allison Flaxey (Caledon, ON). Homan won 10-7 against Casey Scheidegger (Lethbridge, AB), then won 7-5 against Val Sweeting (Edmonton, AB) and 9-4 against Jones in their final qualifying round match.
For winning the Tim Hortons Roar of the Rings Championship title, Homan earned 82.578 world rankings points, remaining in 3rd place overall on the World Ranking Standings with 737.727 total points. Homan ranks 4th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 243.133 points earned so far this season.
