Julie Tippin (Woodstock, ON) finished 4-2 in the 14-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Tippin lost 6-5 to Shannon Birchard (Winnipeg, MB), then responded with a 7-5 win over Nadine Scotland (Calgary, AB). Tippin won 7-3 against Theresa Breen (Halifax, NS), then won 5-4 against Kelsey Rocque (Edmonton, AB). Tippin went on to lose 7-4 against Shannon Kleibrink (Calgary, AB). Tippin responded with a 6-5 win over Tracy Fleury (Sudbury, NONT) in their final qualifying round match.

For winning the Home Hardware Road to the Roar Pre-Trials Championship title, Tippin earned 40.387 world rankings points, moving up 3 spots the World Ranking Standings into 19th place overall with 299.885 total points. Tippin ranks 15th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 118.103 points earned so far this season.
