Colton Flasch (Saskatoon, SK) finished 2-4 in the 14-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Flasch lost 7-2 to Jason Gunnlaugson (Winnipeg, MB), droppimg another game, 6-4 to Glenn Howard (Islington, ON) where Flasch responded with a 8-7 win over John Morris (Vernon, BC). Flasch won 7-4 against Adam Casey (Regina, SK). Flasch went on to lose 6-5 against Jamie Murphy (Halifax, NS). Flasch lost 6-5 to Mark Bice (Sarnia, ON) in their final qualifying round match.

Flasch earned 3.971 world rankings points for their preliminary round wins, remaining in 27th place overall on the World Ranking Standings with 197.917 total points. Flasch ranks 24th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 87.327 points earned so far this season.
