Jennifer Jones (Winnipeg, MB) lost 8-6 to Shannon Birchard (Winnipeg, MB) in the Final of the Colonial Square Ladies Classic, held September 22 - 24, 2017 at the Nutana Curling Club in Saskatoon, Canada. To advance to the championship game, Jones won 5-2 over Anna Hasselborg (Sundbyberg, SWE) in the semifinals   of the 2017 Colonial Square Ladies Classic in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada; and won 6-4 over Satsuki Fujisawa (Kitami, JPN) in the quarterfinals.  of the 2017 Colonial Square Ladies Classic in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada; 
 
Jones finished 3-1 in the 16-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Jones defeated Brett Barber (Biggar, SK) 11-2, then won 7-2 against Robyn Silvernagle (North Battleford, SK). Jones went on to lose 4-2 against Birchard. Jones responded with a 8-1 win over Claire Hamilton (Edinburgh, SCO) in their final qualifying round match.
 
With their runner-up finish at the Colonial Square Ladies Classic, Jones take home 34.903 world rankings points along with the $4,500CDN prize, moving up 1 spots the World Ranking Standings into 2nd place overall with 510.754 total points. Jones ranks 2nd overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 113.675 points earned so far this season.
