Brad Jacobs (Sault Ste Marie, ON) won 3-1 over Mike McEwen (Winnipeg, MB) in the Final of the AMJ Campbell Shorty Jenkins Classic, held September 14 - 17, 2017 at the Cornwall Curling Club in Cornwall, Canada. To advance to the championship game, Jacobs won 6-3 over Greg Drummond (Stirling, SCO) in the semifinals of the 2017 AMJ Campbell Shorty Jenkins Classic in Cornwall, Ontario, Canada; and won 5-4 over Peter De Cruz (Geneva, SUI) in the quarterfinals.
 
Jacobs finished 3-2 in the 24-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Jacobs defeated John Shuster (Duluth, USA) 6-3, then went on to lose 7-5 against Sebastien Robillard (Ottawa, ON). Jacobs responded with a 4-2 win over Jamie Murphy (Halifax, NS). Jacobs went on to lose 5-3 against McEwen. Jacobs responded with a 5-1 win over Craig Brown (Madison, USA) in their final qualifying round match.
 
For winning the AMJ Campbell Shorty Jenkins Classic Championship title, Jacobs earned 74.157 world rankings points along with the $15,300CDN first prize cheque, remaining in 3rd place overall on the World Ranking Standings with 561.939 total points. Jacobs ranks 2nd overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 119.528 points earned so far this season.
