Brewster went on to lose 3-2 against Mike McEwen (Winnipeg, MB). Brewster responded with a 7-6 win over Brent Pierce (New Westminster , BC). Brewster won 4-3 against Steve Laycock (Saskatoon, SK) in their final qualifying round match.
Brewster earned 23.531 world rankings points for their Top 5 finish in the Ashley Home Store Curling Classic, moving up 6 spots the World Ranking Standings into 41st place overall with 145.425 total points.
