Dailene Pewarchuk (Victoria, BC) lost 8-0 to Victoria Moiseeva (St. Petersburg, RUS) in the Final of the Driving Force Abbotsford Cashspiel, held November 24 - 26, 2017 at the Abbotsford Curling Club in Abbotsford, Canada. To advance to the championship game, Pewarchuk won 4-3 over Japan's Satsuki Fujisawa in the semifinals of the 2017 Driving Force Abbotsford Cashspiel in Abbotsford, British Columbia, Canada; and won 8-3 over Shiela Cowan (Cloverdale, BC) in the quarterfinals.
 
Pewarchuk finished 3-0 in the 16-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Pewarchuk defeated Sarah Wark (Chilliwack , BC) 6-4, then won 7-1 against Japan's Satsuki Fujisawa and 9-2 against Chelsea Duncan (Whitehorse, YK) in their final qualifying round match.
 
With their runner-up finish at the Driving Force Abbotsford Cashspiel, Pewarchuk take home 20.436 world rankings points along with the $3,500CDN prize. For week 16 of the event schedule, Pewarchuk did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Pewarchuk ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
