Silvana Tirinzoni (Aarau PwC, SUI) won 3-2 over Ontario's Sherry Middaugh in the Final of the Stu Sells Oakville Tankard, held September 1 - 4, 2017 at the Oakville Curling Club in Oakville, Canada. To advance to the championship game, Tirinzoni won 5-4 over Sweden's Anna Hasselborg in the semifinals of the 2017 Stu Sells Oakville Tankard in Oakville, Ontario, Canada; and won 4-2 over Switzerland's Binia Feltscher in the quarterfinals. of the 2017 Stu Sells Oakville Tankard in Oakville, Ontario, Canada;
 
Tirinzoni finished 4-1 in the 24-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Tirinzoni lost 6-4 to Rhonda Varnes (Winnipeg, MB), then responded with a 7-4 win over Uliana Vasilyeva (St. Petersburg, RUS). Tirinzoni won 3-1 against Switzerland's Binia Feltscher, then won 3-2 against Anna Kubeskova (Prague, CZE) and 6-2 against Chrissy Cadorin (Thornhill, ON) in their final qualifying round match.
 
For winning the Stu Sells Oakville Tankard Championship title, Tirinzoni earned 52.441 world rankings points along with the $7,000CDN first prize cheque. For week 4 of the event schedule, Tirinzoni did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Tirinzoni ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
