Ontario's Rob Retchless lost 5-4 to Matthew Hall (Kitchener-Waterloo, ON) in the Final of the KW Fall Classic, held September 21 - 24, 2017 at the K-W Granite Club in Waterloo, Canada. To advance to the championship game, Ontario's Rob Retchless won 7-5 over Chang-Min Kim (Uiseong, KOR) in the semifinals of the 2017 KW Fall Classic in Waterloo, Ontario, Canada; and won 7-2 over Northern Ontario's Jordan Chandler in the quarterfinals. of the 2017 KW Fall Classic in Waterloo, Ontario, Canada;
 
Ontario's Rob Retchless finished 3-1 in the 18-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Ontario's Rob Retchless lost 7-3 to Ontario's Daryl Shane, then responded with a 7-2 win over David Misun (Martin, SVK). Ontario's Rob Retchless won 7-5 against Hall, then won 6-1 against Yusuke Morozumi (Karuizawa, JPN) in their final qualifying round match.
 
With their runner-up finish at the KW Fall Classic, Ontario's Rob Retchless take home 17.680 world rankings points along with the $1,800CDN prize.
