In their opening game, Polo defeated Northern Ontario's Dylan Johnston 7-3, then won 5-4 against Kyle Foster (Winnipeg, MB) and 5-1 against Tom Scott (Hibbing, MN). Polo went on to lose 7-1 against Greg Balsdon (Kingston, ON) in their final qualifying round match.
