Brown lost 6-5 to Lisa Menard (Winnipeg, MB) where Brown responded with a 10-7 win over Brett Barber (Biggar, SK). Brown won 7-1 against Menard in their final qualifying round match.
 
For winning the Man Curl Tour Classic Championship title, Brown earned 0.000 world rankings points along with the $1,800CDN first prize cheque. For week 9 of the event schedule, Brown did not improve upon their best events, dropping from 100th to 105th place overall on the World Ranking Standings with 25.019 total points.
