Brown lost 6-5 to Lisa Menard (Winnipeg, MB) where Brown responded with a 10-7 win over Brett Barber (Biggar, SK). Brown won 7-1 against Menard in their final qualifying round match.

For winning the Man Curl Tour Classic Championship title, Brown earned 0.000 world rankings points along with the $1,800CDN first prize cheque. For week 9 of the event schedule, Brown did not improve upon their best events, dropping from 100th to 105th place overall on the World Ranking Standings with 25.019 total points. Brown ranks 275th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 0.000 points earned so far this season.
