To advance to the championship game, Corbett won 6-4 over Nicholas Servant (Sault Ste Marie, ON) in the semifinals of the Kalamazoo Men's Classic in Kalamazoo, Michigan, United States;
 
Corbett finished 3-0 in the 12-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Corbett defeated Servant 8-7, then won 4-3 against William Nordine (Kalamazoo, MI) and 8-3 against Matt Sussman (Toledo, OH) in their final qualifying round match.
 
For winning the Kalamazoo Men's Classic Championship title, Corbett earned 6.509 world rankings points along with the $1,287CDN first prize cheque, moving up 72 spots the World Ranking Standings into 202nd place overall with 12.263 total points. Corbett ranks 114th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 7.513 points earned so far this season.
