Joanisse finished 4-0 in the 14-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Joanisse defeated Jason Peckham (Abbotsford, BC) 12-1, then won 7-6 against Glen Jackson (Victoria, BC) and 10-2 against Randie Shen (Taipei, TPE). Joanisse won 5-3 against Chris Baier (Victoria, BC) in their final qualifying round match.
 
With their runner-up finish at the King Cash Spiel, Joanisse take home 14.064 world rankings points along with the $2,500CDN prize, moving up 7 spots the World Ranking Standings into 46th place overall with 97.333 total points.
