Delia DeJong (Grande Prairie, AB) won 4-2 over Japan's Satsuki Fujisawa in the Final of the Red Deer Curling Classic, held November 17 - 20, 2017 in Red Deer, Alberta. To advance to the championship game, DeJong won 5-3 over Geri-Lynn Ramsay (Calgary, AB) in the semifinals of the 2017 Red Deer Curling Classic in Red Deer, Alberta; and won 7-3 over Sherry Anderson (Saskatoon, SK) in the quarterfinals.
 
DeJong finished 4-2 in the 23-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, DeJong defeated Alberta's Holly Scott 8-5, then went on to lose 6-1 against Diane Gushulak (New Westminister, BC). DeJong lost 14-3 to Saskatchewan's Stefanie Lawton where DeJong responded with a 5-1 win over Jessie Hunkin (Edmonton, AB). DeJong won 5-1 against Nancy Martin (Saskatoon , SK), then won 7-5 against Corryn Brown (Kamloops, BC) in their final qualifying round match.
 
For winning the Red Deer Curling Classic Championship title, DeJong earned 36.936 world rankings points along with the $9,000CDN first prize cheque, moving up 23 spots the World Ranking Standings into 58th place overall with 85.676 total points. DeJong ranks 57th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 37.447 points earned so far this season.
