Alina Paetz (Zurich, SUI) won 9-8 over EunJung Kim (Uiseong, KOR) in the Final of the Stockholm Ladies Cup, held September 29 - October 1, 2017 in Stockholm, Sweden. To advance to the championship game, Paetz won 5-2 over Cory Christensen (Blaine, USA) in the semifinals of the 2017 Stockholm Ladies Cup in Stockholm, Sweden; and won 6-4 over Sophie Jackson (Dumfries, SCO) in the quarterfinals.
 
Paetz finished 4-0 in the 20-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Paetz defeated Tova Sundberg (Ostersund, SWE) 6-5, then won 6-5 against Daniela Jentsch (F�ssen, GER) and 6-5 against Hannah Fleming (Lockerbie, SCO). Paetz won 4-2 against Christensen in their final qualifying round match.
 
For winning the Stockholm Ladies Cup Championship title, Paetz earned 55.164 world rankings points along with the $16,979CDN first prize cheque, moving up 2 spots the World Ranking Standings into 8th place overall with 351.786 total points. Paetz ranks 2nd overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 129.385 points earned so far this season.
