In their opening game, Dunlop defeated Jack Hykaway (Winnipeg, MB) 7-1, then won 5-3 against Jack Clasen (St. Paul, MN) and 6-5 against Kevin Tuma (St. Paul, MN). Dunlop went on to lose 7-2 against Josh Moore (Mapleton, MN). Dunlop responded with a 7-1 win over Moore in their final qualifying round match.
