JT Ryan (Winnipeg, MB) won 8-3 over Joshua Friesen (Altona, MB) in the Final of the CanAM MJCT Spiel, held September 15 - 17, 2017 at the Grand Forks Curling Club in Grand Forks, United States. To advance to the championship game, Ryan won 7-2 over Thomas Dunlop (Stonewall, MB) in the semifinals

Ryan finished 4-0 in the 0-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Ryan defeated Jordan Peters (Winnipeg, MB) 8-3, then won 8-3 against Friesen and 5-0 against Jayden Rutter (Winnipeg, MB). Ryan won 9-6 against Timothy Hodek (Fairdale, ND) in their final qualifying round match.

. For week 10 of the event schedule, Ryan did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Ryan ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
