Bruce Mouat (Edinburgh, SCO) qualified for the 2017 Curling Masters Champery playoffs, dropping their quarterfinals match 4-3 against Greg Drummond (Stirling, SCO). of the 2017 Curling Masters Champery in Champery, Switzerland;

Mouat finished 4-1 in the 24-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Mouat defeated Rasmus Stjerne (Hvidovre, DEN) 7-6, then won 8-1 against Jaap van Dorp (Zoetermeer, NED) and 6-3 against Jiri Snitil (Prague, CZE). Mouat won 6-3 against Aku Kauste (Hyvinkaa, FIN). Mouat went on to lose 7-6 against Karlis Smilga (Riga, LAT) in their final qualifying round match.
