Wang finished 3-0 in the 24-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Wang defeated Raphaela Keiser (Zug, SUI) 5-3, then won 7-1 against Dorottya Palancsa (Budapest, HUN) and 8-2 against Madeleine Dupont (Hvidovre, DEN) in their final qualifying round match.
 
For winning the Womens Masters Basel Championship title, Wang earned 45.881 world rankings points along with the $12,812CDN first prize cheque, moving up 3 spots the World Ranking Standings into 12th place overall with 297.838 total points.
