Kean finished 2-2 in the 20-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Kean lost 6-4 to Ontario's Ian Dickie, droppimg another game, 8-3 to Chris Glibota (Sudbury, NONT) where Kean responded with a 5-4 win over Ontario's Rob Retchless. Kean won 6-1 against 's Alex Leichter in their final qualifying round match.
