Ontario's Allison Flaxey 7-6, then went on to lose 8-3 against Manitoba's Briane Meilleur. Donaldson lost 7-5 to Kristen Streifel (Edmonton, AB) where Donaldson responded with a 6-4 win over Michelle Englot (Winnipeg, MB). Donaldson went on to lose 7-3 against Alberta's Nadine Scotland in their final qualifying round match.
 
Donaldson earned 2.941 world rankings points for their preliminary round wins.
