To advance to the championship game, McEvoy won 7-4 over Stacie Curtis (St. John's , NL) in the semifinals of the 2017 Spitfire Arms Cash Spiel in Windsor, Nova Scotia, Canada; and won 6-1 over Veronica Smith (Charlottetown, PEI) in the quarterfinals. of the 2017 Spitfire Arms Cash Spiel in Windsor, Nova Scotia, Canada;
 
McEvoy finished 2-1 in the 16-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, McEvoy defeated Colleen Jones (Haifax, NS) 4-2, then went on to lose 6-4 against Mary Mattatall (Halifax, NS). McEvoy responded with a 1-0 win over Nancy McConnery (Windsor, NS) in their final qualifying round match.
 
For winning the Spitfire Arms Cash Spiel Championship title, McEvoy earned 19.950 world rankings points along with the $2,000CDN first prize cheque, moving up 18 spots the World Ranking Standings into 73rd place overall with 65.519 total points. McEvoy ranks 73rd overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 31.252 points earned so far this season.
