Kean finished 3-0 in the 16-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Kean defeated Adam Freilich (Jerusalem, ISR) 9-8, then won 7-2 against Chris Gardner (Buckingham, QC) and 5-2 against Greg Balsdon (Kingston, ON) in their final qualifying round match.
 
With their runner-up finish at the Moosehead Fall Open Men, Kean take home 18.728 world rankings points along with the $1,400CDN prize, moving up 9 spots the World Ranking Standings into 62nd place overall with 61.673 total points.
