To advance to the championship game, Menard won 8-4 over Steve Allen (Ottawa, ON) in the semifinals of the 2017 Moosehead Fall Open Men in Ottawa, Ontario; and won 9-4 over Greg Balsdon (Kingston, ON) in the quarterfinals. of the 2017 Moosehead Fall Open Men in Ottawa, Ontario;
 
Menard finished 3-0 in the 16-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Menard defeated Michael Fournier (Montreal, QC) 9-4, then won 6-5 against Mark Homan (Baie d'Urfe, QC) and 8-2 against Darryl Sobering (Denver, CO) in their final qualifying round match.
 
For winning the Moosehead Fall Open Men Championship title, Menard earned 23.835 world rankings points along with the $2,400CDN first prize cheque, moving up 7 spots the World Ranking Standings into 35th place overall with 126.969 total points.
