John Epping (Toronto, ON) won 5-1 over Glenn Howard (Toronto, ON) in the Final of the Dairy Farmers of Ontario Tankard, held January 30 - February 4, 2018 in Huntsville, Ontario. To advance to the championship game, Epping won 6-4 over Codey Maus (London, ON) in the semifinals of the 2018 Dairy Farmers of Ontario Tankard in Huntsville, Ontario;

Epping finished 4-1 in the 12-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Epping defeated Richard Krell (Kitchener-Waterloo, ON) 10-3, then won 7-5 against Mark Bice (Sarnia, ON). Epping went on to lose 10-6 against Howard. Epping responded with a 9-6 win over Joe Frans (Oakville, ON). Epping won 8-5 against Mark Kean (Woodstock, ON) in their final qualifying round match.

For winning the Dairy Farmers of Ontario Tankard Championship title, Epping earned 29.645 world rankings points. For week 26 of the event schedule, Epping did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Epping ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
