Chris Gardner (Buckingham, QC) qualified for the 2017 The Burnt Rock Curling Co. Carp Classic playoffs, dropping their quarterfinals match 6-5 against Howard Rajala (Ottawa, ON). of the 2017 The Burnt Rock Curling Co. Carp Classic in Carp, Ontario;

Gardner finished 2-1 in the 16-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Gardner defeated Dwayne Lowe (Carp, ON) 6-4, then went on to lose 6-2 against Jamie Birtwistle (Ottawa, ON). Gardner responded with a 8-2 win over Rajala in their final qualifying round match.

Gardner earned 5.331 world rankings points for their Top 5 finish in the The Burnt Rock Curling Co. Carp Classic, moving up 4 spots the World Ranking Standings into 70th place overall with 69.194 total points.
