Sluchinski finished 3-0 in the 14-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Sluchinski defeated Dahlseide 4-3, then won 8-2 against Harty and 7-5 against Josh Lambden (Calgary, AB) in their final qualifying round match.
 
For winning the Black Diamond / High River Cash Championship title, Sluchinski earned 11.373 world rankings points along with the $2,000CDN first prize cheque, remaining in 60th place overall on the World Ranking Standings with 104.085 total points.
