Brock Virtue (Unity, SK) run at the 2018 SaskTel Tankard came to an end in the semifinals with a 7-3 loss to Steve Laycock (Saskatoon, SK). of the 2018 SaskTel Tankard in Estevan, Saskatchewan;

Virtue finished 5-1 in the 16-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Virtue defeated Randy Bryden (Regina, SK) 10-6, then went on to lose 10-4 against Colton Flasch (Saskatoon, SK). Virtue responded with a 7-3 win over Carl deConinck Smith (Rosetown, SK). Virtue won 6-4 against Jason Jacobson (Saskatoon, SK), then won 6-4 against Brady Kendel (Saskatoon, SK) and 8-7 against Laycock in their final qualifying round match.

Virtue earned 14.280 world rankings points for their Top 3 finish in the SaskTel Tankard, moving up 17 spots the World Ranking Standings into 110th place overall with 58.339 total points. Virtue ranks 100th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 36.451 points earned so far this season.
