To advance to the championship game, Ginter won 7-5 over Graham Powell (Grande Prairie, AB) in the semifinals of the 2017 Grande Prairie Cash Spiel in Grande Prairie, Alberta; and won 7-2 over Kelsey Dusseault (Falher, AB) in the quarterfinals. of the 2017 Grande Prairie Cash Spiel in Grande Prairie, Alberta;
 
Ginter finished 3-2 in the 12-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Ginter defeated Nick Saturnino (Inuvik, NT) 7-1, then went on to lose 9-3 against Webb. Ginter responded with a 8-2 win over Powell. Ginter went on to lose 6-5 against Warren Cross (Edmonton, AB). Ginter responded with a 7-4 win over Saturnino in their final qualifying round match.
 
For winning the Grande Prairie Cash Spiel Championship title, Ginter earned 14.181 world rankings points along with the $2,400CDN first prize cheque, moving up 79 spots the World Ranking Standings into 144th place overall with 23.972 total points. Ginter ranks 94th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 14.181 points earned so far this season.
