Jeff Ginter (Dawson Creek, BC) won 4-2 over Scott Webb (Peace River, AB) in the Final of the Peace Tour Championship, held January 12 - 14, 2018 in Sexsmith, Alberta. To advance to the championship game, Ginter won 9-5 over Kurt Balderston (Grande Prairie, AB) in the semifinals
 
Ginter finished 2-0 in the 8-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Ginter defeated Colin Griffith (Grande Prairie, AB) 8-4, then won 6-5 against Webb in their final qualifying round match.
 
For winning the Peace Tour Championship Championship title, Ginter earned 8.620 world rankings points along with the $2,250CDN first prize cheque, moving up 25 spots the World Ranking Standings into 145th place overall with 33.123 total points. Ginter ranks 121st overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 23.332 points earned so far this season.
