Cross won 5-3 against Alberta's Rod Norman. Cross went on to lose 5-2 against Tracy Steinke (Dawson Creek, BC). Cross responded with a 6-2 win over Colin Griffith (Grande Prairie, AB) in their final qualifying round match.
