Candace Chisholm (Weyburn, SK) won 8-2 over Penny Barker (Moose Jaw, SK) in the Final of the Medicine Hat Charity Classic, held October 20 - 23, 2017 at the Medicine Hat Curling Club in Medicine Hat, Canada. To advance to the championship game, Chisholm won 5-1 over Alberta's Jodi Marthaller in the semifinals of the 2017 Medicine Hat Charity Classic in Medicine Hat, Alberta, Canada; and won 6-3 over Jessie Hunkin (Edmonton, AB) in the quarterfinals. of the 2017 Medicine Hat Charity Classic in Medicine Hat, Alberta, Canada;
 
Chisholm finished 3-1 in the 16-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Chisholm defeated Kayla Skrlik (Calgary, AB) 5-4, then went on to lose 6-4 against Shannon Kleibrink (Calgary, AB). Chisholm responded with a 5-2 win over Teryn Hamilton (Calgary, AB). Chisholm won 7-5 against Anastasiia Danshina (Moscow, RUS) in their final qualifying round match.
 
For winning the Medicine Hat Charity Classic Championship title, Chisholm earned 23.983 world rankings points along with the $5,500CDN first prize cheque, moving up 24 spots the World Ranking Standings into 69th place overall with 54.708 total points. Chisholm ranks 35th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 38.581 points earned so far this season.
