To advance to the championship game, Sinclair won 5-3 over 's Susan Froud in the semifinals of the 2017 ASHAM U.S. Open of Curling in Blaine, Minnesota, United States; and won 9-2 over Darcy Robertson (Winnipeg, MB) in the quarterfinals. of the 2017 ASHAM U.S. Open of Curling in Blaine, Minnesota, United States;
 
Sinclair finished 3-2 in the 10-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Sinclair defeated Elena Stern (Wetzikon, SUI) 7-2, then went on to lose 7-3 against Allison Pottinger (Saint Paul, MN). Sinclair responded with a 7-0 win over Sarah Anderson (Blaine, USA). Sinclair went on to lose 6-4 against Roth. Sinclair responded with a 10-3 win over Cora Farrell (Blaine, MN) in their final qualifying round match.
 
For winning the ASHAM U.S. Open of Curling Championship title, Sinclair earned 28.962 world rankings points along with the $6,305CDN first prize cheque. Sinclair move up 1 spots after posting a net gain of 25.777 points improving upon their best results so far this season, ranking 15th overall with 367.364 total points on the World Ranking Standings.
