Pfyffer went on to lose 17-2 against Eric Decorvet (Lausanne, SUI). Pfyffer responded with a 9-4 win over Ivo Hasler (St. Gallen, SUI). Pfyffer won 17-2 against Hasler in their final qualifying round match.
