In their opening game, Hajkova/Paul defeated Noelle Iseli/Rene Iseli (Gstaad, SUI) 8-3, then went on to lose 7-3 against Stephanie Wild/Daniel Gubler (Aarau, SUI). Hajkova/Paul responded with a 9-4 win over Eniko Szabo/Balazs Foti (Budapest, HUN). Hajkova/Paul won 7-5 against Andrea Schoepp/Rainer Schoepp (Garmisch, GER), then won 8-3 against Andrea Fischer/Holger Langenau (Chemntz, GER) in their final qualifying round match.
