Nadja Grunder/Peter Hartmann (Thurgau, SUI) lost 7-4 to Rui Wang/De Xin Ba (Harbin, CHN) in the Final of the WCT Austrian Mixed Doubles Cup, held October 19 - 22, 2017 in Kitzbuehel, Austria. To advance to the championship game, Grunder/Hartmann won 9-4 over Lisa Menard/Ray Baker (Dauphin, MB) in the semifinals   of the 2017 WCT Austrian Mixed Doubles Cup in Kitzbuehel, Austria; and won 11-5 over Jie Mei/Jingyuan Wang (Harbin, CHN) in the quarterfinals.  of the 2017 WCT Austrian Mixed Doubles Cup in Kitzbuehel, Austria; 
 
Grunder/Hartmann finished 2-1 in the 16-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Grunder/Hartmann defeated Dorottya Palancsa/Zsolt Kiss (Budapest, HUN) 9-8, then went on to lose 7-6 against Zuzana Hajkova/Tomas Paul (Prague, CZE). Grunder/Hartmann responded with a 6-3 win over Laura Mayerhans/Benny Kapp (Fuessen, GER) in their final qualifying round match.
