Szekeres/Nagy finished 3-2 in the 18-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Szekeres/Nagy defeated Adela Walczak/Andrzej Angustyniak (Lodz, POL) 12-2, then went on to lose 8-7 against Miia Turto/Jari Turto (Hittenharju, FIN). Szekeres/Nagy responded with a 9-6 win over Kristiine Lill/Martin Lill (Tallinn, EST). Szekeres/Nagy won 6-5 against Gerli Kagi/Erkki Lill (Tallinn, EST). Szekeres/Nagy went on to lose 7-3 against Hajkova/Paul in their final qualifying round match.
