Anna Fowler/Thomas Jaeggi (Kent, ENG) finished 2-3 in the 24-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Fowler/Jaeggi lost 10-3 to Michele Jaeggi/Sven Michel (Bern, SUI), then responded with a 9-7 win over Scotland's Jacqui Taylor/Andy Taylor. Fowler/Jaeggi went on to lose 10-3 against Santa Blumberga/Ritvars Gulbis (Riga, LAT). Fowler/Jaeggi lost 7-5 to Gina Aitken/Duncan Menzies (Stirling, SCO) where Fowler/Jaeggi responded with a 9-3 win over Scotland's Fay Henderson/Andrew Robson in their final qualifying round match.
