Santa Blumberga/Ritvars Gulbis (Riga, LAT) qualified for the 2018 International Mixed Doubles Dumfries playoffs, dropping their quarterfinals match 7-6 against Jayne Stirling/Fraser Kingan (Aberdeen, SCO).

Blumberga/Gulbis won 9-4 against Scotland's Jacqui Taylor/Andy Taylor, then won 8-6 against Gina Aitken/Duncan Menzies (Stirling, SCO) in their final qualifying round match.
