Monica Walker/Jason Smith (St. Paul, MN) qualified for the 2017 Twin Ports Mixed Doubles Classic playoffs, dropping their quarterfinals match 9-3 against Jamie Sinclair/Korey Dropkin (Blaine, USA). of the 2017 Twin Ports Mixed Doubles Classic in Duluth, Minnesota;
 
Walker/Smith finished 3-1 in the 32-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Walker/Smith defeated Sydney Steffen/Evan Sampson (Devils Lake, ND) 10-4, then won 6-0 against Emma Lee Nichols/Greg Johnson (Appleton, WI). Walker/Smith went on to lose 7-1 against Sinclair/Dropkin. Walker/Smith responded with a 7-6 win over Maureen Stolt/Peter Stolt (Minneapolis, MN) in their final qualifying round match.
