Bruce Mouat (Edinburgh, SCO) run at the 2018 World Mens Curling Championship came to an end in the semifinals with a 9-5 loss to Brad Gushue (St. John's, CAN). of the 2018 World Mens Curling Championship in Las Vegas, Nevada;
 
Mouat finished 11-1 in the 13-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Mouat defeated Gushue 8-7, then won 6-4 against Joel Retornaz (Trentino, ITA). Mouat went on to lose 7-6 against Niklas Edin (Karlstad, SWE). Mouat responded with a 7-6 win over Rich Ruohonen (Seattle, USA). Mouat won 9-4 against Alexander Baumann (Baden-Baden, GER), then won 8-3 against Jaap van Dorp (Zoetermeer, NED) and 7-2 against Chang-Min Kim (Uiseong, KOR). Mouat won 9-2 against Masaki Iwai (Hokkaido, JPN), then won 8-6 against Steffen Walstad (Oppdal, NOR) and 7-2 against Alexey Timofeev (Moscow, RUS). Mouat won 8-6 against Marc Pfister (Adelboden, SUI), then won 9-4 against De Jia Zou (Harbin, CHN) in their final qualifying round match.
 
Mouat earned 43.487 world rankings points for their Top 3 finish in the World Mens Curling Championship. Mouat move up 1 spots after posting a net gain of 27.75 points improving upon their best results so far this season, ranking 14th overall with 421.614 total points on the World Ranking Standings.
