In their opening game, MacKay lost 9-1 to Alison Poluck (Cambridge, ON), then responded with a 6-1 win over Evelyn Robert (Toronto, ON). MacKay went on to lose 7-6 against Alex Bertolo (Coldwater, ON) in their final qualifying round match.
