Reed won 6-5 against Adrian Meikle (Hawarden, WAL), then won 12-5 against Ilya Shalamitski (Minsk, BLR) and 10-4 against Lan Zagar (Ljubljana, SLO). Reed went on to lose 10-8 against Israel's Alex Pokras. Reed responded with a 8-2 win over Daniel Poulsen (Hvidovre, DEN) in their final qualifying round match.
 
With their runner-up finish at the Le Gruyere AOP European B Curling Championships, Reed take home 16.459 world rankings points, moving up 121 spots the World Ranking Standings into 158th place overall with 22.418 total points. Reed ranks 119th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 19.276 points earned so far this season.
