Otaegi won 7-6 against Szeliga-Frynia, then won 6-5 against Ajda Zavrtanik Drglin (Jesenice, SLO) and 7-2 against Sykorova. Otaegi went on to lose 6-4 against Dilsat Yildiz (Erzurum, TUR). Otaegi lost 6-5 to Marie Turmann (Tallinn, EST) in their final qualifying round match.
Otaegi earned 5.210 world rankings points for their preliminary round wins, moving up 44 spots the World Ranking Standings into 195th place overall with 6.766 total points. Otaegi ranks 173rd overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 5.210 points earned so far this season.
