Marta Szeliga-Frynia (Lodz, POL) finished 4-5 in the 10-team qualifying round. . Szeliga-Frynia lost 9-4 to Dilsat Yildiz (Erzurum, TUR) where Szeliga-Frynia responded with a 5-2 win over Silvia Sykorova (Bratislava, SVK). Szeliga-Frynia went on to lose 7-6 against Otaegi. Szeliga-Frynia lost 8-7 to Virginija Paulauskaite (Vilnius, LTU) where Szeliga-Frynia responded with a 10-6 win over Ajda Zavrtanik Drglin (Jesenice, SLO) in their final qualifying round match.

Szeliga-Frynia earned 4.168 world rankings points for their preliminary round wins, moving up 13 spots the World Ranking Standings into 161st place overall with 13.358 total points. Szeliga-Frynia ranks 139th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 11.580 points earned so far this season.
