Sluchinski finished 3-1 in the 16-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Sluchinski defeated Neil Hart (Airdrie, AB) 8-3, then went on to lose 9-1 against Park. Sluchinski responded with a 9-4 win over Thomas Usselman (Edmonton, AB). Sluchinski won 10-4 against Chad Dahlseide (Calgary, AB) in their final qualifying round match.

With their runner-up finish at the McKee Homes Fall Curling Classic, Sluchinski take home 12.139 world rankings points along with the $2,000CDN prize.
